Honda shows off Idea C and Ideas S at Beijing motor show

Honda-car

Alongside the Chinese opening of its new ILX and RDX, Honda rolled out two idea vehicles that the company says presage new models to hit the Chinese market.
The “C” in “Concept C” actually stands for “cool,” “confront” and “China,” which is er, um, iffy, but at least it's a exit from Honda's as-of-late anodyne exterior design. Though it pretty closely resembles a late-model Hyundai decent up in Super Sentai garb, Honda claims that the C's design was enthused by a dragon. How very generous.
Aimed at the Chinese middle class, the Idea C's invention variant will see daylight next year.
While urban mainly for the Chinese market, Honda car notes that the mass-market people carrier that springs from the head of the Idea S will be an overall model. Whether that means we'll see it in the United States is indistinct.
We do, however, know that the Idea S has some sort of mixture powertrain and looks like a huge undersea giant's pet cyber slug. This, if you found physically puzzled, is a good thing. Just trust us.
